About Housing Support Services – Greene County Only - A comprehensive array of housing and homeless services is offered to homeless and near homeless Greene County individuals and families, with self-sufficiency as the objective.
- Requests for financial assistance are assessed and delivered based on eligibility and fund availability.
- Offers programs including: Homeless Assistance, Emergency Food & Shelter and Supported Housing.
These services include: - Locating and obtaining affordable housing
- Budget Counseling
- Emergency Fund Distribution
- Rent/mortgage assistance
- Utility assistance
- Emergency shelter
- Case Management
- Life Skills Training
- Employability Skills Training
- Information/Referral
Program Eligibility Homeless Assistance Program - Homeless or near homeless
- Have an income at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines
- Have sufficient income to pay rent in the future or have no income but have reasonable expectations for sufficient income in the next 90 days (written documentation required in addition to completion of monthly budget)
- Have a written agreement with a landlord to rent
- Have received all Title IV/ESA and FEMA assistance (written documentation required)
Emergency Food & Shelter Program - Documentation of crisis situation or emergency
- Have sufficient income to pay rent in the future or have no income but have reasonable expectations for sufficient income in the next 90 days (written documentation required in addition to completion of monthly budget)
- Have a written agreement with a landlord to rent
- Have received all Title IV/ESA and FEMA assistance (written documentation required)
Supported Housing Program - Individual or Family experiencing homelessness
- Seeking residential stability
- Seeking to increase skill levels an/or incomes
- Seeking to obtain greater self-determination
