About Play GroupsWeekly opportunities for families of preschool children to interact together in activities which strengthen social and networking skills. Two hour sessions in which children and parents learn routines and participate in activities which build motor skills and language skills. Sessions include circle time, crafts, gross motor activities and snack. Adults increase commitment to their role as their child’s first and most important teacher and increase participation in the education of their children. Participants have reported decreased isolation and increased social skills. Play Groups are provided between September and May at various locations throughout Greene County.
